Eco friendly jewelry
Caja jewelry was created by the husband and wife team Andrea and Juan. Their love of nature and the city inspired them to create a jewelry line. The name Caja is made up of Andrea and Juan's name, it means box in Spanish. (Like the box your beautiful jewelry will come in.) Juan is trained in hand cutting metal with a jewelers saw and Andrea is a designer. Together they transformed their talents into one of a kind hand cut necklaces. The pendants are a bit more refined and follow the organic silhouettes of nature as well as our slightly off skewed sense of humor. The words are inspired by Brooklyn, NY where they live. Caja can also create custom names and words in various sizes for you.
Caja is very committed to the environment. Our boxes and bags are at least made from 50% recycled paper. Our cards are made from 100% recycled paper. All the silver we use is recycled silver from Hoover and Strong. We always recycle and we are in the process of changing over to getting our electricity from renewable wind power for our apt and studio.
