Caja Jewelry is an exciting new jewelry company that creates hand cut jewelry, using eco-friendly reclaimed sterling silver.
Caja Jewelry is owned and operated by the husband and wife team of Andrea and Juan Arrango Cano. Who both live and create their jewelry in Brooklyn, NY. The name Caja has a dual meaning, it means box in Spanish and is a word play on Andrea and Juan's initials
Juan is originally from Colombia and was trained to hand-pierce precious metals when he first moved to NYC. Andrea is a CAD artist who received a BFA in Textile Surface Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology, in New York City.
Utilizing Juan's skill with hand piercing and calligraphy, and Andrea's design skills and business savviness, Caja has developed into a brand that specializes in custom nameplates as well as whimsical and darkly humorous pendants.
Cajas inspiration comes from life experiences, differing cultures, and Andrea and Juans exciting life in Brooklyn, NY. Together, these experiences make the jewelry of Caja something very different and unique!
